Lille is happy to welcome again a michelin starred restaurant among its best tables. This Monday 1st of February at 11 A.M., the Michelin guide has awarded “La Table” with a star in its 2016 list of awardees, the gastronomic restaurant of the Clarance Hotel led by Nicolas Pourcheresse.
Youngest starred chef in 2005 and former chef at “Meert”, Nicolas Pourcheresse is renowned as one of the most talented chefs of his generation. He has created for “La Table” of the Clarance Hotel an authentic, “Pure, brute and ruffled” cuisine.
On the menu, he offers creativity and knowhow, sublimating local products… some dug up directly in the 5 star boutique-hotel vegetable garden at the rue de la Barre in Lille.
The 2016 vintage of the Michelin guide counts 600 starred restaurants in total (609 in 2015). Among the 54 new stars, only 2 are in the Nord-Pas-De-Calais: “La Table” in Lille and “La Grignotiere” in Raisme led by the Chef Pascal Coulon.
“I am of course delighted of the trust granted to me, for the second time, by this institution that is the Michelin Guide. It is a beautiful award for the Clarance and its table, as well as for our clients, suppliers and everyone that has accompanied us in this beautiful adventure.
This Star changes everything as well as nothing at the same time: We are going to continue giving the best of ourselves, maintain the quality of our products and the discovery of the flavors of our region. This Star is for Lille, The North and The Northeners."
Nicolas Pourcheresse, chef de La Table
"This Star rewards the work and motivation of a beautiful and young team, which shares the pleasure of the beautiful and the good. Thanks to their talent, Nicolas and his squad, in less than a year, now offer an inevitable place at the Clarance and its table, among the finest addresses in the Capital of Flandres".
Aurélie Vermesse, Présidente du Clarance Hôtel Lille
