Clarancedevelops an original and innovative cultural policy in Lille.
The building, conceived as a new place of culture in the city, offers customers and visitors an artistic journey that stages French and international contemporary art in its public spaces.
Clarance invites you to discover:
From January 17, 2022 to March 31, 2022
The story of Nasty begins in 1988. He distinguished himself by covering subway trains with colorful frescoes until the mid-90s.
He was then approached by the art world, which suggested that he leave the street to express himself in a different way. He then took over the enamelled plates of the metro and used them as canvases. They will become his trademark. Thereafter, other original supports will renew the enthusiasm with the institutions and the public. This desire to defend the origins of graffiti and a work that privileges writing in all its states make Nasty an authentic and unexpected artist.
The artist's artistic approach is in line with the hotel's commitment to sustainable development!
It's a new way to escape for Clarance guests: a place steeped in history whose interior has been completely redesigned in a design spirit.
On the occasion of Art up!, the contemporary art fair that takes place from March 10 to 13, 2022, Clarance and Nasty will organize meetings and dinners for urban art collectors.
